چکیده

Asteroids were likely a major source of volatiles and water to early Earth. Quantifying the hydration asteroids is necessary constrain models formation evolution Solar System origin Life on The OSIRIS-REx (Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security–Regolith Explorer) mission showed that near-Earth asteroid (101955) Bennu contains widespread, abundant hydrated phyllosilicates, indicated by ubiquitous absorption at ~ 2.7 ?m. objective this work quantify hydration—that is, hydrogen content—of phyllosilicates Bennu's surface investigate how varies spatially. We analyse spectral parameters (normalized optical path length, NOPL; effective single-scattering albedo, ESPAT; Gaussian modeling) computed from phyllosilicate band spatially resolved visible–near-infrared spectra acquired OVIRS (the Visible InfraRed Spectrometer). also same using laboratory-measured meteorites including CMs, CIs, ungrouped C2 Tagish Lake. estimate mean content hydroxyl groups in be 0.71 ± 0.16 wt%. Surface thermophysical properties determination of OSIRIS-REx target asteroid (101955) Bennu

In this work, we investigate the thermophysical properties of OSIRIS-REx target asteroid (101955) Bennu (hereafter Bennu), where thermal inertia plays an important role in understanding the nature of the asteroid’s surface, and will definitely provide substantial information for the sampling return mission. Using a thermophysical model incorporating, the recently updated 3D radar-derived shape ...

Shape model and surface properties of the OSIRIS-REx target Asteroid (101955) Bennu from radar and lightcurve observations

We determine the three-dimensional shape of near-Earth Asteroid (101955) Bennu based on radar images and optical lightcurves. Bennu was observed both in 1999 at its discovery apparition, and in 2005 using the 12.6-cm radar at the Arecibo Observatory and the 3.5-cm radar at the Goldstone tracking station. Data obtained in both apparitions were used to construct a shape model of this object. Obse...

Distribution and Abundance of Wolves

At the time wolves were federally protected in the mid-1970’s, Minnesota contained the only known reproducing wolf population in the lower 48 states, except for that on Isle Royale. Over the years, much attention has been focused on studying and monitoring Minnesota’s wolves. Research efforts began in the mid-1930’s (Olson 1938) and with few lapses continue to this day. Efforts to delineate wol...
